Position Summary

In collaboration with the Director, Customer Engagement & Distributor Relations, the Strategic Sales Liaison is responsible for providing support and assistance for order management, pre- and aftersales support, and issue management and resolution for Strategic Sales Agents and their end customers.  The job holder will take full ownership for and lead the daily activities associated with assigned Strategic Sales Agents, respective end customers and associated Joerns internal stakeholders.
 
This position will manage day to day interactions with customer staff (e.g. facility purchasing, operations and nursing staff) to facilitate the successful sales, delivery and use of Joerns’ products.
 
The job holder will play a key role in delivering great customer experiences by providing responsive support which enables customers to maximize equipment investment as well as facilitate meeting their clinical, safety and regulatory compliance goals.

Job Requirements



  • Serve as the leader in supporting defined Strategic Sales Agents and their respective end customers.  
  • Generation of pre-sales and in-process customer support documentation, including product positioning documents, delivering proper competitive benchmarks, and driving evaluation materials in support of sales opportunities.
  • Participate in proposal related meetings to assist in developing capture strategies, defining deliverable timelines, and creating quotation materials.
  • Provide pricing assistance, as required, which may include furnishing pricing proposals, cost research and analysis.
  • Own the order management process including order entry, managing order details including pricing updates, product exceptions, delivery changes, tracking details, etc. 
  • Manage and document weekly team calls to review open issues, develop resolution plans, drive cross-functional operations support, and manage collaboration between the strategic sales team and Joerns commercial leadership.
  • Compile and maintain data to develop and generate reports pertaining to strategic sales partners and their activities on behalf of Joerns.
  • Build strong relationships with strategic sales partner’s customer leadership teams through understanding of specific tasks and priorities of both organizations.

Required Education

High School Diploma or educational equivalency 
Required Skills & Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in customer service, proposals or bid preparation.  
  • Experience with SAP and SalesForce.com.  Demonstrated ability to prepare complex proposals against tight deadlines.  Must be able to handle multiple projects and deliver with exceptional accuracy.
  • Must be a team-player, possess outstanding customer service skills and be self-motivated.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills will be required as this position will involve direct communications with Joerns customers.
  • This position will require the ability to work under minimal supervision, within a group environment, to address a dynamic range of customer related issues.
  • The ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities throughout the day will be required.
  • Great listening skills and the capability to remain calm and helpful when working with Joerns customers and strategic sales partners is essential.
  • Acts with a sense of urgency, illustrates ambition, and drives for completion of tasks and projects.
  • Must have the ability to initiate and develop creative solutions.
  • Possess the ability to manage time and prioritize critical priorities.
  • Must demonstrate the ability & desire to increase knowledge.

Preferred Skills, Experience & Education

  • 2+ years of experience in the medical device industry 
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of experience in managing multi-level account coordination.
