Position Summary

The Logistics Coordinator II will coordinate material availability, production and shipping capacity with procurement, manufacturing and distribution such that all customer orders are prioritized appropriately, and shipped on time and in full.  Schedule and coordinate customer installs with commercial, carriers, installers and outside service companies

Job Requirements

  • Coordinate material availability, production and shipping capacity with procurement, manufacturing and distribution teams to prioritize customer orders.
  • Daily communication and coordination with customer care team to ensure all orders are prioritized appropriately.
  • Daily review of past due orders and current inventory stocking levels to ensure all orders ship as soon as possible.
  • Daily communication of missed orders to customer care team.
  • Obtain quotes, arrange carriers and pick-ups for all expedited shipments.
  • Schedule and coordinate install orders with customers, sales, carriers, installers and outside service companies.
  • Communicate daily with internal teams and customers on install orders and delivery schedules.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may prevent orders from shipping on time.
  • Assist with the day-to-day management and operation of all transportation functions to ensure timely and high-level customer service.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of SAP, and overall transportation and distribution operations.
  • Adapts to business needs through willingness to cross-train and perform other tasks as needed

Required Education

High School Diploma or Educational Equivalency required
Required Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in ERP systems, TMS, WMS; SAP experience preferred
  • Excellent communicator who is energetic and a quick study. Strong analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of transportation best practices and procedures
  • Strong work ethic with a 'can do' attitude.
  • Proficient and comfortable with computer systems, ideally possessing experience with various retail or distribution computer systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  • Able to identify and formulate solutions to problems.
  • Able to work independently
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to cross train and learn other transportation functions as assigned by management

Preferred Skills, Experience & Education

  • 3 to 5 years of previous Logistics or Transportation experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Prior experience with SAP in WMS/ TMS
