Position Summary

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and technical support of all desktop software and hardware of Joerns Healthcare. Provides technical expertise and support to the end user with primary focus on support of Windows OS’s, MS Office Suite, Internet Explorer and Joerns Healthcare application software.

Job Requirements

  • Problem Resolution

    • Monitors the IT Support Portal ticketing system - Chatsworth queue and responds to user problem calls

    • Meets or exceeds targets for Metrics and Daily Units closed

    • Uses the IT Support Portal ticketing system to query, report and close calls

    • Uses technology tools (ex. LogMeIn, AD, etc.) to resolve problems

    • Works with IT staff members and users to resolve system problems in a timely fashion.

    • Commits to action after developing a plan based on logical assumptions and factual information

    • Applies knowledge of resources, constraints and organizational values in decision making process

  • Installation

    • Installs and tests hardware and software

    • Deploys equipment as necessary

    • Monitors and maintains records regarding installation and maintenance of current hardware and software

    • Follows installation and inventory guidelines of the IT department

  • Problem Identification

    • Interacts with customers and other IT support staff to identify system/network problems

    • Utilizes the IT Support Portal ticketing system to gather, assemble, organize and track information

    • Uses the Internet, Teammates, and Resource guides to assist in pinpointing problems as quickly as possible

  • Project Support

    • Works with IT staff, department representatives and vendors as necessary to provide technical support; installation, upgrade, and maintenance of new and current systems within Joerns Healthcare

Required Education

High School Diploma or GED
Required Skills & Experience

  • Working experience with computers and networking

  • Knowledge of Windows 7, Windows 10, standard imaging processes, standard OS configurations, applications installations, etc.

Preferred Skills, Experience & Education

  • Associate / Bachelor Degree preferred

  • Associate’s degree in IS&T or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. A+, MCP preferred

  • 1-3 Years of IT experience preferred

  • Excellent communication skills and customer service experience preferred
