Position Summary

The Billing Manager provides oversight of the accurate capture of all daily rental transactions through our billing department while ensuring the Billing Team adheres to departmental KPIs.
The Billing Manager provides strategic and tactical direction to the Billing Team and assists Senior Dr. of Rev Cycle in leading innovations and operational enhancements and standardization for the department. This associate will aid in the development of continuous improvement framework with the goal of bringing creative thought to an already well-established function.

Job Requirements

  • Oversees the billing department to ensure efficient and effective reimbursement
  • Manages team members to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals
  • Ensures accurate and timely distribution of invoices
  • Develops and implements policies relevant to billing operations
  • Develops and implements systems and procedures related to billing to ensure operational efficiency
  • Identifies issues and provides problem resolution.
  • Reviews and authorizes account adjustments and refunds
  • Generates invoice detail reports for analysis as needed.
  • Performs and assists in financial analysis and internal audits of revenue cycle issues
  • Supervises department personnel, including hiring, training, orienting, disciplining and evaluating performance
  • Must be able to analyze, communicate and resolve customer challenges
  • Collaborate to build and implement efficiency strategies around first pass payment rate
  • Demonstrates strong strategic thinking, collaboration, leadership, problem solving, and communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrates a consultative approach when working with intercompany partners to develop customer focused solutions
  • Assists Revenue Cycle Management operations to meet corporate goals for cash collections, net revenue comparisons, and billing expense
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing rendered patient services and reimbursement

Required Education

4 year degree
Required Skills & Experience

  • Must have prior SAP experience
  • 7+ years prior billing experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills, Experience & Education

  • Prior Durable Medical Equipment rental experience
  • General knowledge of Healthcare Industry
  • 5+ years of supervisory or management experience is preferred
  • Knowledge ADP and any third party patient billing portals
  • Master’s Degree
